She's Unique

If you follow us on Instagram or shop the jewelry from our posts, you've seen that we're mildly obsessed with She's Unique. Located in one of our favorite spots in the DMV area, Old Town Alexandria, as well as being owned and operated by our good friend Katya, makes it lovable on it's own. But, once you factor in the best jewelry selection in town, it quickly becomes more than just a casual relationship. Whether we are stocking up on our favorite Volupsa scents, checking out what new designers have been added to the store, picking up a few dainty rings to add to our collection, or just saying "Hey!" to Katya, we visit She's Unique pretty much on a regular basis.

She's Unique recently hosted a really great event to celebrate their Two Year Anniversary of business and we couldn't be more excited about not only how much the store has grown so far, but what the future has in store, because we know it's going to be great. Below are a few photos from the event and you can also read why we will be back at She's Unique very soon. It's a pretty exciting announcement for me! :) And for those of you who aren't local, don't worry, I heard that She's Unique might be coming to you too very soon!

Award Winning Beauty

Erika and I recently attended the #PrettyGlamazon Ocsars Party, hosted by Lara of Pretty Connected and Makeda of Glamazon Diaries, at Eno Wine Bar in Georgetown. The New York, blogger duo gave a presentation of their favorite beauty products while we sipped on some tasty wine from Sterling Vineyards, which was the official wine served at the Oscars (no big deal) and delicious. Lara and Makeda were kind enough to send us each home with a bag full of award-show-worthy products. For those of you who don't know, Blogger Scene is a new series of events that we started, together with our good friend & blogger, Ashley Lettich of AshleyInDC. We wanted to bring together a blogger workshop and a super fun party (because we all love a good party) into one big, blogger event - Hence our motto, "Parties with a purpose!" We have featured bloggers at each event that speak on a panel, answering questions about something specific that we think they are good at (social media, SEO, branding, etc.). We use our events as a way to promote local businesses and brands that we love too! These events will be used as a way for bloggers who don't want to attend those expensive blogger conferences but still get that same type of educational experience.
