I think we've found our favorite the easiest table decor ever, made simply from the repurposing of our Halloween decorations. Pumpkins and pine cones spray painted gold and we instantly have a super glam, Friendsgiving table setting. I also love the idea of tying a cute ribbon around each silverware setting, little details like that really show your guests you tried. And, to get into the spirit of giving thanks, we found this cute way of asking your guests what they're thankful for this year.
Let's talk food. We tried to incorporate each of our favorite fall foods in to dinner (I'm forewarning now, there's no turkey on this menu - don't get crazy). Here's our If-We-Had-A-Friendsgiving Menu:
Appetizer: Baked Brie
First Course: Pomegranate Pear Walnut Salad
Main Course: Sweet Potato Skillet Chili Vegan Cauliflower Mash Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta
Dessert: No Bake Oreo Cheesecake
Featured Cocktail: Limoncello Gin Cocktail with fresh thyme
Between the DIY decor and easy thanksgiving recipes, it doesn't get much easier than that. Lately, we've noticed, quite a few of our post titles begin with "Easy." From getting dressed, to home decor, and even cooking, it's all the same around here - the easier, the better. Let's face it, we're fashionably broke, we're fashionably late and we're fashionably not ready to have a dinner party yet. But, at least we have our plan ready to go for next year :) Do you host Friendsgiving? If so, share your secrets in the comments please!
We just have a very low-key Thanksgiving dinner with our siblings. It makes the day a lot easier when you're only cooking for 4-6 people rather than 20+! I'm all about having an easy holiday.
