Overalls And Bubbly

This weekend I wore overalls and drank bubbly, at the first District Closets event, and when I posted a picture on Instagram of myself doing just that, someone left the comment "overalls and bubbly;" Clearly it stuck. Now that you know where the cute, little title of this post came from, we can talk fashion. Fashion is a circle and I love when it reinvents the most unexpected things.

Erika and I were obsessed (really an understatement) with our overalls, circa 1995. We we're always matching when we wore them (sisters = always twins) and, as if we couldn't get any dorkier, my most vivid image is of us wearing them with different color turtlenecks. Now that overalls are cool again, we thought of digging out the old "ovies" (that's slang for overalls, not to be confused with the hockey player) and fully embrace this trend, but luckily (for you and my boyfriend who likes to call me "farmer joe" when I wear them - rude), BLANKNYC sells a pair with a tapered hem that we found at Nordstrom and we think they are just the cutest thing ever. Wait until you see them on Erika.
