How To: Hairspray with Garnier

Hair spray can be a very controversial product. It's gotten a bad rep over the years, I think mostly due to the "scrunch" era, for making hair look stiff and unnatural and crunchy and no one wants that. I've recently turned a corner with hairspray though, discovering new ways to use it.

As you've probably noticed I'm a big fan of Garnier Fructis hair products. Lately, I've been using their Anti-Humidity Hairspray from their new Texture Tease and Sleek & Shine line to polish up my blow-outs and loving it.

First, I just blow dry my hair like I normally would. If you need some tips on how to do a good blow-dry, you can check out this post here. Puppy not included. :)

Next, I use the Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Hairspray to smooth out the fly-aways and give the blow-out some extra body and even a little wave. It's like a curling iron and flat iron in a bottle, really. All you have to do is twist sections of your hair away from your face and spray. I usually do 4-5 big sections, hold each twist for a few seconds, spray and then slowly let it loose.

Then, I use the hairspray as more of a "finishing" spray by lighting spraying the roots of my hair, holding the can at least 6 inches away from my head. Using my hand, I then smooth out any unwanted frizz.

I can't live with out my hairspray now post-blow out. It's just a small change in my normal routine that proves big benefits. If you try it out, let me know how it goes!
