The Lacoste show was a new one for me this past New York Fashion Week and it ended up being one of my favorites. I'm keeping a close eye on Lacoste, in hopes to bring in more of the brand into my wardrobe. I figured starting with these preppy oxfords was the perfect first step. As a girl who loves her heels, I've gotten so much wear out of my loafers (seen here) this season and realized I should bring more flat options into my wardrobe. I'd recommend a lace-up oxford (or a sleek loafer) as a great place to start. And even though I'm typically more of an "edgier" dresser, I've been really intrigued by trying out different styles lately. It's helped me find that some preppier pieces, like these oxfords, do fit well into my everyday style.
This skirt is probably as feminine as a skirt can be, with it's tight, hip-hugging fit, but I thought it would be the perfect off-set to a more masculine shoe. I've noticed that most of the outfits and style inspiration that I'm drawn to involves mixing two or more different styles together; preppy and edgy, masculine and feminine or structured and drapey.
