Why Flamingos Are Pink

The word "flamingo" comes from the Spanish and Latin word "flamenco." Because of the serious ruffles on this romper, similar to the ones you might see on a traditional flamenco dress, I figured it was totally relevant to share about both in one post. Plus, I kind of feel like a flamingo in it.

We passed these flamingo's every day on the way to the beach in the Dominican. You can't help but stop and stare at their bright pink feathers. I learned that they get their pink color from what they eat - Lots of salmon and shrimp. They seemed to spend most of their day just wading in the water, eating, sleeping and fluffing their feathers. Seemingly super relaxed, a passerby stopping to take their photo couldn't even catch their attention. It's like they knew they were there, for all of us. To help us relax and enjoy our vacation and the beautiful planet we live on. Besides wearing more pink, I think we can all learn a little something from the flamingos in the Caribbean.
