Charleston was a dream. Sharing a few of my favorite places to eat, drink & enjoy this oh so charming city.

The Americano was one of those places that I saw on Instagram and just had to go to. I dragged my family for the photos, but the food was just as good.
I didn't even look at the menu before I went and, unexpectedly, it was modern Mexican food! I was envisioning cheeseburgers and milk shakes but you really can't go wrong when there's Mexican street corn involved - Yum.
The Americana is in the town of Mt. Pleasant which is honestly a place we could see ourselves living one day. We may have even checked out a few apartments while we were there... wink, wink.
Only a short Uber ride from Mount Pleasant, we stayed in an ocean front house in Isle of Palms. Isle of Palms has that relaxed, care-free beach vibe to it and sits right along the coast of Charleston. Facing out to the most beautiful and vast beaches, it's a must-visit town.
And, of course, a visit to downtown Charleston is a must-see. A city filled with history, beautiful 18th century homes and plantations, churches, charming hotels, and tons of amazing bars & restaurants, we spent the day exploring the French Quarter, Upper King and Historic Downtown areas by foot.

WHERE TO EAT IN CHARLESTON, SC :
The Americano (A south-beach feel and a modern take on traditional Latin food.)
Poe's Tavern (A very popular lunch spot on Sullivan's island, just one block from the beach, with great burgers and sandwiches.
Taco Mamacita (Mexican-fusion, featuring Peruvian roast chicken & delicious (strong) margaritas.)
Poogan's Porch: A beautiful Victorian house turned into a restaurant where famous diners, like Ronald Reagan, have enjoyed traditional southern cooking since it's opening in 1976.)
Grill 255 in the Market Pavilion Hotel (Just the view alone is worth heading up for even just a drink or two.)
The Dinghy (The perfect beach bar and stop for a cold beer & Cuban sandwich in Isle of Palms.)
