Heritage

Our grandma (better known as Dede) the designer buyer and retail/personal shopper guru at major department stores like Saks and Bloomies, the mother to (our aunt) a top local interior designer and grandmother to us, fashion blogging sisters. The third generation of girls who LOVE pretty things!

Our grandma is French, raised in Morocco, so you will see bits of her heritage throughout her new home that she recently moved in to. She is the cutest thing ever and her house is none the less! I'm currently working on incorporating a bit of Morocco to our condo, but more on that later! For now, here's a glimpse into her home and maybe a glimpse into why we are who we are today.

Now you understand my love of orange :)

Our grandparent's house has mesmerized us since I can remember. From Dede's jewelry drawer, to her lipstick cabinet, to the coffee table books that seemed bigger than us at one point and a perfect, black and white, baby grand piano, there was always something to get in to. Their house was also extra special because it was the first and only house our Dad and his family lived in, since they came to America, from Morocco, when he was five years old!

I had so much fun taking these pictures in Dede's new house and I think all of us could use a little Dede-inspiration in our homes. Hope you enjoyed!
