I've always been a lover of the highest heels I could find. And, being that I'm petite, I wouldn't even look at a pair of flats most times. But, as I've gotten older (and wiser) I've finally realized that heels just aren't practical for every day life (seems like basic common sense, right? I swear I'm learning). So I'm making it a point to focus more on "everyday items," like comfortable clothes and shoes. Now when I say this, please don't start wearing your slippers around town and blame me. But rather, do invest in some flat shoes, like cute sneakers. You'll think that you'd rather spend that $50-$100 on a FAB pair of heels, but when you reach for those new kicks, literally, 5 days a week, you'll feel great about your wear vs. spend ratio and you'll never think twice about it again. Promise.

I had been searching for the perfect pair of Nike Air Maxes for me all summer, wanting mostly white with a touch of color that would work for any and all seasons. The best thing about sneakers... you can wear them all year long! I found these at JD Sports and they've been perfect. I can already see them with leather leggings and chunky, gray knits in the fall and winter. I love all of the street style photos featuring dresses and skirts paired with sneakers. You know, those ones that you think you could never pull off. Well, I finally went for it with this cool, little white dress from ANTHOM. At the risk of looking like I just was wearing them in between metro stops, I hope I got the right message across - "I'm just totally sporty and comfortable-chic." I think paired with a masculine watch and bag was just what the look needed to work. What do you think?

I couldn't find my Lovers + Friends dress anywhere for you online, but I've rounded up more of my favorites from them below.

Also, big thanks to Moki Media & Blo Blow Dry Bar for my blow out! Check them out if you have a location near you and tell them I sent you. :)

  1. Love this look and that watch is amazing. And seriously, I'd go to Blow Blow Dry Bar every day if they could make my hair look like that.
