I know, yesterday I said I was so sporty, but at this point during NYFW I had yet to see the Lacoste show. However, luckily, my love of gray had already formed a few weeks prior. I think I'm drawn to gray so much because it's sits perfectly in between black and white. It's soft and airy, yet strong and bold. And, there are so many different shades of gray, (aren't you glad I didn't name this post "50 Shades" because I am), and they all look amazing together. By the way, is it "gray" or is it "grey," because I just realized I don't know?
This was day three, which I had saved this look for, since I knew I would be out and about all day (but who isn't in New York, right?). My heels we're the perfect height and my dress was linen, so breathable, and perfect for the heat. It's no longer available, but you can shop more of my favorite striped dresses below.
I fell really hard for Lacoste this morning. I wish Erika could have been there, she would have too. To be honest, it wasn't a brand that I think either of us felt our style directly related with but it's amazing how quickly that can change. I think that's one of my favorite parts about Fashion Week, being able to personally connect with a brand that you maybe hadn't before. The designers only have a few minutes to define themselves, so it has to all be very concise and to-the-point. From the order the looks come down the runway, to the hair and make-up and what songs they chose, you really get to know and feel who they are. After spending a short time with Lacoste on this Saturday morning, loving each look more than the last and finding myself Shazam-ing every song, I've established a new connection with them and I can't wait to see where it goes. I'm guessing here first.
