Haha! How funny is that shot of me with the coffee mug? You'll understand why I chose to include it as you read on in this post...You may have noticed, but I'm looking and feeling much more relaxed these days.
I consider myself someone who likes to try new things, especially things in the beauty realm. I'll always try and share any new and noteworthy experiences I have with you guys and I promise to always give an honest account.
I've been working on sharing this with you for a while now - Last year I tried botox. Botox before 30? Well, in this case, we're talking about Dysport.
After some frustrating concerns with the way my skin was looking as I've gotten older, I paid a visit to Sanctuary Cosmetic Center, a new med spa in my area. I was referred to the doctors at Sanctuary by a close, trustworthy friend. After difficulty healing some spotting on my skin, Sanctuary came to the rescue through microdermabrasion facials and chemical peels (highly recommend them - you can read more about them here!).
I most recently learned of the benefits of having Dysport injections, and more specifically how it could reduce the fine lines on my forehead and between my brows. My lines are not only a natural result of aging, but my astigmatism causes me to squint. Cute, right?
So Dysport is similar to Botox but the main difference is that the Dysport has more spreadability and at times, can work faster and even last longer than Botox. It definitely seemed like the best fit for someone my age (I'm 28). After three quick and painless injections I saw results within 2-3 days and they have exceeded my expectations - My Dysport has lasted for over two months and looks as natural as can be. The way I know that is because my friends will notice that I look more relaxed and awake without knowing exactly what I've had done... Dysport is tricky like that. ;)
Some may think of only negative connotations when it come to botox, I even thought I might feel vain afterwards, but I'm SO happy I tried it out. I feel fresh-faced, super relaxed, and confident with how my skin looks. Plus, the Dysport will help prevent the lines from getting worse in the future. For someone who spends a lot of time in front of the camera, I'm glad I decided to nip these lines in the bud. My doctor, Dr. Naz, did such a great job. The wrinkles are gone, but I don't feel overdone or stiff and that's what I like the most about Dysport.
Now on to the fun and exciting news! I will be hosting brunch for all of my local friends and readers at Sanctuary Cosmetic Center on January 30th from 11am-1pm. We will have all of the brunch necessities (mimosas & yummy food), while we get to tour the gorgeous cosmetic center, receive free consultations and HUGE discounts on services, plus giveaways from some of my favorite brands like Kendra Scott and South Moon Under (you guys know how I love to spoil my guests!).
