After working really hard this year to kick-off my first months as a self-employed business owner, a vacation like this was exactly what the doctor ordered - All-inclusive food, drinks, service, and sunshine. That's why when that destination wedding invitation hit my mailbox this summer, I surely followed.
It was mine and my family's first time on the island in the Caribbean, and my first time experiencing the attraction of an all-inclusive resort. I'm pleased to say that I quickly learned what all the fuss was about! There's not much sweeter in life besides free, 24 hour room service, is there? But beyond just a delicious breakfast-in-bed, the resort had so much to offer us on our 6-day stay in the DR. The nightly entertainment was fun no matter what age you are. I was in a magic show, held a monkey and danced the night away at a disco party under the stars. And during the day I enjoyed many of the accommodations like the gym, the spa, bottomless piña coladas on the palm tree-lined beaches and swim in one of the largest swimming pools in the Dominican (complete with a swim-up bar!). The staff and team at the Dreams Punta Cana were so friendly and really made the trip memorable.
We were like that movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," except Italians and the Dreams Punta Cana was more than accommodating to us. I hope to visit the DR again, only next time maybe with a few less Italians and one more Puerto Rican - I can't wait to take my love there with me next time! I know he would relish in the care-free environment. What are your favorite islands to visit? I'm more than ready to conquer my next beach!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at this place. Chicago wedding venues were absolutely perfect! The manager and his staff were excellent and wonderful to work with. You won't be able to find more for your money.
