Forever21 Tee, Free People Overalls,Shoes c/o Off Broadway, Rayban Sunglasses, LOFT Purse, Revlon Lipstick
Fourth of July is a holiday I can get on board with dressing for. White and blue (in the form of denim) are two of my three favorite colors to wear, and I love a good reason to swipe on a red lip. This year, we'll (my boyfriend & I) be celebrating the patriotic holiday from the OBX and quite frankly, in our minds, it couldn't be more American of us. Hopefully that jerk, Arthur, won't ruin the day's festivities though. But either way, I have the perfect outfit packed with me; my favorite overalls, a white cropped tee and new laser cut Keds from Off Broadway. Off Broadway had so many good options for the Fourth, it was a difficult task deciding between these so five-year-old-chic Keds or star adorned Vans, both in patriotic hues. So, naturally we got both. :)
Since we went with a more traditional gift wrap for our first feature with The Container Store, we knew we wanted to do something a little different this time around. We spotted a gold, glitter wrapping paper and a polka dot, pink paper, combined the two and came up with this. Hold on to your hats, because Christmas is about to get a little wild (aka there's about to be glitter everywhere)!

A holiday party wouldn't be complete without a festive cocktail, right? I have been dreaming of having Sauza Sparkling Margaritas at my next party, ever since I wrote this post. My two favorite flavors, Original Lime and Wild Berry, just so happen to be Christmas colors so I knew the would make for the perfect cocktail to serve at our holiday party this year and a fun alternative to champagne. Plus, they are made with real Sauza Tequila, unlike most ready-to-serve cocktails, so we knew they we're going to be good!
We used a red garnish (raspberries) for the Lime Margarita and a green garnish (lime) for the Berry Margaritas and served them in champagne glasses with retro straws. We love color and we're going for more of modern take on traditional holiday party decor. Fun details show your guests you put a good effort into hosting and ours totally appreciated it! We are so happy with how everything turned out, from the drinks to the decor and food, and the party was a BLAST (if I do say so myself).
I think this little blue & red corner might have been my favorite
We made a special corner for the vino lovers, like ourselves
Strawberries dipped in white chocolate, dipped in gold sprinkles = heaven!
Healthy food options from sweetgreen; District Cobb, Chickpea wraps and Kale Caesar Salad
We left fun, Christmas sunglasses around for guests to wear

Pour yourself a cup of Joe and get ready for some holiday gift wrapping inspiration brought to you by The Fashionably Broke and The Container Store. First up, classic with a twist. We paired a black and white, chevron paper with rustic elements, like a distressed yarn and pine needles, together with a red and silver embossed paper and shiny black ribbon. I just loved the combination of modern and classic. Add a festive, tie-on ornament to the mix and you get this!
